Global View Music

Global View Music was formed in 1997 by Washington, DC Area musician Clayton Englar. The goal and intention here is to present music that is, for the most part, unusual - as in "I don't think I've really heard THAT before" without being  "I don't want to hear it ever again!" - in style, concept and instrumentation, and that may be generally defined as "Jazz", but includes and is influenced by many other forms as well (i.e. no horn/piano/bass/drums quartets playing standards here!). Clayton Englar and Equinox, the Windmill Saxophone Quartet, and Thursday Group are all perfect examples of this approach on a small ensemble scale. For an eclectic mix of classical, jazz, folk and pop, be sure to check out the Con Moto Flute and Guitar Duo. And then there's the latest addition to the GVM stables, the father/son Englar & Englar Jazz Duo.

Please take a moment to listen to our music - you won't be disappointed!

This page links you to others, where you can listen to RealAudio or CD-quality MP3 samples of tunes from all the albums, read about the groups' members, see reviews, photos, etc.
